You should speak to your HR department and raise the issue of lack of OHS measures in your work place. If the company doesn't want to change or comply and you feel your health is threatened because of it you can report the company which will force them to come up with an OHS policy. But this can be a long process so my suggestion is to look for a new employer with a good OHS policy in place. In the meantime, keep wearing gloves, if a surgical type face mask would help, you may want to consider something like that depending on the nature of the chemicals you work with. Take frequent breaks in the fresh air, and make sure to have a very healthy diet, exercise regularly to sweat out the toxins and take good quality supplements. This way your body will be better equipped to deal with toxins. When you want to get pregnant have a hair mineral analysis to check for heavy metal toxicity and chelate if necessary.
