What Do You Need to Let Go Of?

When we talk about increasing fertility the first thing that comes to mind is what we need to add to our daily routine and life to help us conceive. However we tend to often overlook the need to let go of certain habits, beliefs, thought patterns, things in our home, even people…

A happy family lying on a blanket surrounded by yellow autumn leaves, symbolizing joy and connection during the season of letting go.

Nature shows us this beautifully in autumn. The autumn leaves are shed to make room for the new ones to emerge in the spring.

What do you need to let go of?

Sometimes our emotional and mental bodies are full to the brim like a closet that’s full of clothes you don’t even know you have. New things get stuffed inside and become also forgotten over time weighing you down and zapping your energy.

Your home and your surroundings represent your inner state. If it’s messy and chaotic, with drawers and closets packed to the max where you are struggling to close them, it’s time to let go of the old, unused, unnecessary, worn out, associated with sad or unhappy events. Everything is energy, and everything in your surroundings is part of your energetic field. By clearing things out of your closets, drawers, kitchen cabinets, fridge, freezer, bathroom and workspace, you’ll be also clearing your own energy field, making it lighter and more receptive to the new energy and what your heart currently desires.

Let’s learn from God/nature, the most powerful creator of all, who seamlessly creates everything. Each autumn, the old is shed, and each winter, nature hibernates to restore its energy for the new spring, when new life is birthed.

We need to embrace the cyclical nature of our own lives and follow suit as best as we can for the new to emerge.

This especially applies to women who are reminded by the monthly menstrual cycle of the four seasons or stages of the cycle.

Menstruation is autumn, time of shedding and letting go, follicular phase is winter when quietly under the surface the nature is getting ready for the spring, ovulation is spring when the egg is released from its cocoon, luteal phase is summer, when the fertilised egg starts to grow and the walls of the uterus become thicker to welcome the fertilised egg and mark the beginning of pregnancy.

Women have taken on the role of doing everything from looking after the household, to working and earning money and paying bills to being mothers, all at the same time, all the time. No wonder we are so overworked, overwhelmed, exhausted and often feel out of place. We need to go back to the basics and look to nature and create the same cyclical rhythm in our own lives for more happiness, balance and better fertility.

And just like nature doesn’t stress about whether the sun will rise the next day or when and how the next spring will come, we too need to trust and surrender to the higher intelligence that breathes our lungs and beats our hearts and become part of the cyclical flow of life trusting that what’s meant for us will come to us…
